"When you walk to the edge of all the light you have known and take that first step into the darkness of the unknown, you must believe that one of two things will happen. There will be something solid for you to stand upon or you will be taught to fly."
About Me
Hi, I’m Gina Gardner-Wood, LCSW. I am the practice owner of Hope and Healing Therapy. Many of us experience feelings of anxiety, depression and hopelessness, as well as triggers surrounding a traumatic event or history of trauma. You don’t have to suffer alone! As a trained trauma therapist, I utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is an extensively researched, extremely effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing events.
My experience is in helping individuals work through feelings of anxiety, depression and hopelessness as well as working through past traumas. I utilize CBT, DBT, and solution focused therapy. I work with couples and families and have extensive experience working with victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
I always tailor my approach to fit what you need from me. If you need a compassionate ear, that’s what I’ll be. If you need a guide to lead the way to healing and happiness, I’ll help design your plan. Make today the day!
